But wait... there's more...
SUPER SIZED coverage of the 4th Annual VooHoo Custom Car and Bike Show.
With a huge turnout by Kentucky's own Relentess/Merciless Car Club. Both The Dirty South and The Derby City chapters combined to make quite an impressive showing.
A huge thank you goes out from the whole VooDoo King family for not only the huge support but also bringing the handmade trophies the members were so proud to give out!
Look for great things to come from this group!!!
Also see what happens when I give my camera to our own madman/artist Jason "Deadeye" McDonald for a club photo. Here's a sneak peak....

What else do we have?
There's a first time ever Presidential photo bomb x 2!!!
Witness Kids gone wild...
Adults having Adult fun... like Adults!
Winners, winners and no chicken dinners.
Pin ups galore!!!
and more good stuff than you can shake a stick at!

.... and here we go again....
... the truck project fell flat on it's face once again. Between having to put tires on the camper, a disfunctional riding mower, a money pit (most people lovingly call them pools,,,,, own one for a while,,, you'll side with me!!!), now the heat and air unit has taken a break for the summer.... get it? taking a break?
On the plus side, had an awesome time at the 12th Annual Hot Rod ReUnion. Camped for a week. Met some awesome new friends from Ohio and Canada. Can't wait to hook up with them next year! Took 700+ pictures. Coverage coming soon!
I also got to go to Dragstalgia 4 this year. Another great time for such a short day. Glad to hook up with Matt, Skippy, Laura and Randy. ALWAYS a fun day!!! Especially when it comes time to play "Here, Taste This"!!!
I'll get links to all these pictures,,, plus shots of Bonnie Valentine and The Deuce on here a.s.a.p.
Gotta make room for Frog Follies and Shades and The Rumble and The HooDoo.....
Gonna be a busy fall !!!!! God, I love it!!!!
Peace out!

This and that......
I keep thinking of topics I want to get on here and discuss or maybe rant and rave.... but then sit down at the computer.... and i've got nothing..... notes, man. I have to start taking notes!!!
The latest on the truck,,, let's talk about that instead. I pushed the back half of the S-10 chassis to the very back of the yard. One brake was dragging so it was quite a task! At 52 years young I still have the power and strength to do a job like that,,, but when I stood up and tried to breathe..... oh damn I thought I was gonna fall out right there! It's time to think about working smarter, not harder!!!
I lined the back half of the OG suspension with the front S-10 stub. It didn't line up as well as I had hoped but with a little cutting and tweaking it will..... well, it will be something. At least there's big ol' fenders and running boards to cover up anything that looks weird, lol.
The front rails are clamped to the body mounts.
It's actually starting to look like a truck again!

... more progress on the truck... less Facebook.....
It took a lot to get to this point and to most people in this world it just looks like a whirlwind hit, lol. It's ok by me. I just do what I can, when I can and let the rest talk. Like I posted before, trying to use an S-10 chassis was just not working but welding in the front stub from that same S-10 chassis into the original frame.... now THAT brings interesting possibilities! Today I cut the back half of the S-10 chassis loose...
Now I just need to trim this...
I've got a couple more brackets to get out of the way but this will look more like a truck in a few days.
Stay tuned... the fun has finally begun!!!!

Starting to get motor-vated.... FINALLY......
It's been a crazy past few months with the new job, the new working schedule and a ton of new responsibilities! But along with that, i've also managed to get enough scratch coming in to get work done on the house, but more importantly, around the house!!!
In this episode of "Who Let This Guy Start a Blog" learn the fun, fun, fun coming up at the Pate Hacienda.
In one word: MOVEMENT. I've got a small parking lot of junk at the moment that needs "Reorganizational Improvements" (i.e. get that crap moving!!!) and just for fun I decided to share what someone whose laid around on their butt for too long and let life pass them bye has to do to get caught back up.
Job #1
Get Kimmie's car back on the road!!!
Kimmie has a good start on "project heater core", so we should be wrapping this up as you are reading this.....
key word: SHOULD. She's taken care of everything under the dash and i've almost got the under hood work buttoned up.
I got in a hurry and cut the ends off the heater hoses thinking they ran straight to the front of the motor. It was only after I had cut the hose that goes on the right beyond repair,,, that I realized it went down to the other line..... down behind the motor!!!!!! That sucker is a %*^*&) to get off there! We finally got it cut with a new kitchen knife we forgot we had, lol. It was a piece of cake to get the new lines on, though.
Job #2
Now that I will have the room, (don't laugh), pull everything out of my side of the garage, dig Kimmie's Slo Mo Rumble out of the junk and get it back in the garage!!! I have decided this frame is way too short, and it's causing a lot more problems than it's correcting. Unlike the original frame, the S-10 frame will need body mounts fabricated, running board mounts fabricated and in the end,,, the bed will be more for looks than for hauling things. Just a hint of what will come in the future.... we plan on trailering my radical 31 Hot Rod Truck to shows and pulling it with this one!
So, first order of business, we will cut the front stub off the S-dime chassis and roll it back out side....
Job #3
I can roll the rest of the original frame back in the garage,,,, mark the correct wheelbase on the floor and start prepping this frame for the front stub of the S-dime. This will give us the wheelbase we need and the original mounting points for both the cab and running boards.
Job #4
Get these two back together like they belong!!!! ;-)
Job #5
Now that we freed up some room....
After months and months of waiting....
we will bring the Sacrificial Lamb home and strip her the bone!!!!
This '90 Z/28 has the engine and rear end we plan on running in Slo Mo Rumble. We will keep anything and everything we might need some day on her purple camaro. The rest will be hauled off for scrap.
(you may have noticed I 've already installed the nose and hood on her purple camaro since this picture was taken.)
Job #6
After all that "movin' & groovin'" the real fun begins! This will be the home of my new man cave,,,
that after careful consideration (and a couple of beers) we've decided with all the rusty car parts that will be hanging inside it, I will HAVE to call it SLAUGHTERHOUSE!!
I'm adding an extension to the storage shed for all that rusty goodness.... and.......
Job #7
Making a good home for our next project!!! (FREE: 1969 Glaspar Tri-Hull)
Join us again to see if all this really gets done,,, or will I still be updating my status on Facebook....
Only time will tell.
