In this episode of "Who Let This Guy Start a Blog" learn the fun, fun, fun coming up at the Pate Hacienda.
In one word: MOVEMENT. I've got a small parking lot of junk at the moment that needs "Reorganizational Improvements" (i.e. get that crap moving!!!) and just for fun I decided to share what someone whose laid around on their butt for too long and let life pass them bye has to do to get caught back up.
Job #1
Get Kimmie's car back on the road!!!
Kimmie has a good start on "project heater core", so we should be wrapping this up as you are reading this.....
key word: SHOULD. She's taken care of everything under the dash and i've almost got the under hood work buttoned up.
I got in a hurry and cut the ends off the heater hoses thinking they ran straight to the front of the motor. It was only after I had cut the hose that goes on the right beyond repair,,, that I realized it went down to the other line..... down behind the motor!!!!!! That sucker is a %*^*&) to get off there! We finally got it cut with a new kitchen knife we forgot we had, lol. It was a piece of cake to get the new lines on, though.
Job #2
Now that I will have the room, (don't laugh), pull everything out of my side of the garage, dig Kimmie's Slo Mo Rumble out of the junk and get it back in the garage!!! I have decided this frame is way too short, and it's causing a lot more problems than it's correcting. Unlike the original frame, the S-10 frame will need body mounts fabricated, running board mounts fabricated and in the end,,, the bed will be more for looks than for hauling things. Just a hint of what will come in the future.... we plan on trailering my radical 31 Hot Rod Truck to shows and pulling it with this one!
So, first order of business, we will cut the front stub off the S-dime chassis and roll it back out side....
Job #3
I can roll the rest of the original frame back in the garage,,,, mark the correct wheelbase on the floor and start prepping this frame for the front stub of the S-dime. This will give us the wheelbase we need and the original mounting points for both the cab and running boards.
Job #4
Get these two back together like they belong!!!! ;-)
Job #5
Now that we freed up some room....
After months and months of waiting....
we will bring the Sacrificial Lamb home and strip her the bone!!!!
This '90 Z/28 has the engine and rear end we plan on running in Slo Mo Rumble. We will keep anything and everything we might need some day on her purple camaro. The rest will be hauled off for scrap.
(you may have noticed I 've already installed the nose and hood on her purple camaro since this picture was taken.)
Job #6
After all that "movin' & groovin'" the real fun begins! This will be the home of my new man cave,,,
that after careful consideration (and a couple of beers) we've decided with all the rusty car parts that will be hanging inside it, I will HAVE to call it SLAUGHTERHOUSE!!
I'm adding an extension to the storage shed for all that rusty goodness.... and.......
Job #7
Making a good home for our next project!!! (FREE: 1969 Glaspar Tri-Hull)
Join us again to see if all this really gets done,,, or will I still be updating my status on Facebook....
Only time will tell.
